It’s the Perseid meteor shower, kind of a big deal guys. Look towards the big dipper for the highest concentration of meteorites.
Excited about this.
please tell me I’m not the only one who wants to get cosplayed up to go watch this.
Oh FUCK YEAH
A series of lovely, beautiful pictures featuring a “levitating girl”. Click the link above for more.
Natsumi Hayashi lives in Tokyo with two cats. She mainly photographs levitating self-portraits (not including her cats levitating).
Glass Anatomy by Eric Franklin
Made hollow except for the glow-y ionized krypton, Eric’s glass skeleton entitled: “Embodiment” took over 1,000 hours to painstakingly construct and radiates with some alien fiber that couldn’t possibly exist on earth.
A rare natural phenomenon turns one of Austria’s most beautiful hiking trails into a 10 meter-deep lake, for half the year.
Located at the foot of the Hochschwab Mountains, in Tragoess, Styria, Green Lake is one of the most bizarre natural phenomena in the world. During the cold winter months, this place is almost completely dry, and used as a country park where hikers love to come and spend some time away from urban chaos. But as soon as temperatures rise, the snow and ice covering the mountaintops begin to melt, and the water pours down, filling the basin below with crystal-clear water.
Water levels go from one-two meters at most, to over 10 meters, in the early summer. The waters of Green Lake are highest in June, when this extraordinary place is invaded by divers, curious to see what a mountain park looks like underwater. Fish swimming over wooden benches, a grass-covered bottom, trees, roads, roads and even bridges create a surreal setting that feels like it belongs on dry ground. That’s because for half of the year, that’s exactly where it’s at.
Yeah. This is where I wanna go.
“I never thought that the moment I would meet this man— I would give him anything. Now I would give him anything; even my life.”
oh, turpentine erase me whole
‘cause I don’t want to live my life alone
Duplex is an amazing hybrid of bird cage and aquarium created by Constance Guisset. It favors an improbable encounter between a bird and a fish, living together in harmony.
The idea is simply genius and Duplex out-stands in design and good taste.
Two best Pets Combined
Ugh ugh ugh so cool
I can imagine that bird just being perpetually confused by what it’s seeing.

Twisted Cities by Victor Enrich
Victor Enrich has two skills: taking amazing architectural photographs and then fucking them up via photo manipulation to create these architectural anomalies. They look like great zombie-defense fortresses to me… maybe he’s onto something.
It’s funny that the first one looks kinda like french fries and there’s a McDonalds logo beneath the building.
