I actually saw this on TV when it was originally aired.

I still remembered my stunned silence lasting about ten full minutes after the commercial break even ended.

A collection of characters from Japanese and Italian media, most of them canonically belonging to explicitly non-American origins and one of which utilizing a goofy fake Mexican accent, singing the American anthem poorly.

I wish I could say this was the worst thing 4Kids did, but really, considering the damage they did to One Piece’s reputation in America as a whole, it’s just the cherry on the terrible shit cake.
